The Brief
250 delegates, three days, one event that needed to do it all: a full conference programme, breakout sessions, an arrival dinner to set the tone, a show-stopping awards night to close it, and a team build that would actually get people out of their seats. All of it backed by a bespoke event app, with six weeks to build it.
The Objective
Deliver a three-day experience with no weak links, branding, content and production all carrying the same energy from the first arrival drink to the last award handed out.
How We Created It
We branded every single touchpoint so the event felt like one connected story, not four separate sessions stitched together. The conference programme and breakouts ran by day; the arrival dinner set a relaxed, social tone from hour one. We built and produced a full awards show to close the event, complete with staging and lighting that matched any industry gala. And for the team build, we didn’t play it safe, we built a soap box derby, with delegates designing, building and racing their own carts. The app went from concept to live in six weeks.
The Impact
Delegates were talking about the soap box derby and the awards night in the same breath as the strategy sessions – proof the harder business content had landed rather than been endured! The app delegates actually used gave the client a real-time read on engagement throughout, and leadership reported the three days did more for cross-team alignment than the previous year’s conference had managed in twice the time.
